Safety First is a part of Loy Clark Pipeline’s culture.
At every job site our operational managers conduct a Job Hazard Analysis prior to beginning any work. This helps our crews identify any unique situations where safety might be a concern and require additional advanced safety planning and preparation, ensuring that we are prepared and thinking ahead for any hazards or dangers that may arise. Performing hazard analysis helps us prevent accidents and maintain the safest work environment possible for all our employees.
Loy Clark Pipeline Company’s safety record has been exemplary for several decades, earning the company four awards. The first was given by SAIF Corporation, the company’s workers’ compensation insurance carrier at that time. The award was given for having an average claims rate less than the industry average for five straight years. The second award was presented by the Distribution Contractor’s Association and was given to Loy Clark Pipeline Company for achieving the third best safety statistics of DCA contractors with over 200,000 hours worked in the calendar year 2001. In 2004 MDU-CSG (USI) awarded Loy Clark with the most improved safety program and the best overall performance. These accolades were earned by the employees of Loy Clark Pipeline Company, who take pride in the work they perform every day and in the safe manner in which they accomplish their work.
We all want to go home safely at the end of every work day. Safety is everyone’s responsibility. Therefore, at Loy Clark Pipeline Company, we live by the words: “Safety First.”
